The Line 6 Powercab 212 Plus is an active speaker system designed specifically for use with modelers, delivering accurate tone and dynamic response. In Flat mode, it functions as a full-range, flat-response (FRFR) system using custom coaxial speakers with high-frequency compression drivers for clear, authentic amplification of presets with cabinet models. Switching to Speaker Modeling mode bypasses cab models and activates proprietary onboard speaker models—distinct from traditional cabinet models or impulse responses—for a more organic “amp-in-the-room” experience, with options ranging from classic designs like “Greenback” and “Blue Bell” to modern speaker types.
