The Shure KSM40C Large Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone features a precision engineered 1” capsule and delivers natural, detailed audio with rich low-end and high frequency detail that sits well in a mix without brightness or harshness. It uses a proprietary backplate design to control diaphragm behavior and eliminate sharp resonances. The uniform cardioid polar pattern focuses the source while minimizing room noise and bleed, with a smooth proximity effect for greater control during recording and placement. It is suitable for capturing vocals and instruments including upright bass, guitar amps, and kick drum. The microphone includes a shock mount, magnetic pop filter, zip-up case, 8 replacement straps for the shock mount, a hard mount, premium case, and threaded adapter.
