The Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S88 Mk3 features a Fatar keyboard with 88 weighted hammer-action keys and polyphonic aftertouch for expressive performance. It provides preconfigured mapping for all Native Instruments virtual instruments and thousands of Kontakt and NKS-compatible instruments from manufacturers such as Arturia, Heavyocity, Korg, Output, Spitfire Audio, and u-he. Control is handled via eight touch-sensitive rotary encoders, a 4D controller, and a high-resolution colour display (1280 × 480 pixels), with tag-based preset browsing for quick sound selection and preview. The controller integrates with DAWs including Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, FL Studio, Digital Performer, Bitwig, and Studio One, offering plugin chain navigation, parameter paging, mixer views, track colour synchronisation, and bidirectional tempo synchronisation, as well as Unified Plugin Control for hands-on control of third-party instruments. Additional features include Light Guide RGB key lighting, MIDI template management, standalone mode for controlling external MIDI devices, and the Accessibility Helper with voice output for controls and parameters. Included downloads are Komplete Select, Komplete Kontrol, Stradivari Cello, Guitar Rig LE, the iZotope Elements Suite, Ableton Live Lite, and Hypha, plus a Kontakt instrument of choice after registration.
