The Electro Harmonix Effects Interface Hardware Plugin Effect Pedal for Electric Guitar enables the use of pedals and other physical guitar equipment with a DAW, as well as the use of computer plugins within a guitar rig. It does not require special converters or DI boxes, as it processes the signal and transmits it between hardware and software via a USB-C connection. It offers three modes: Hardware Plugin Mode, which sends tracks/signals from the DAW through pedals/hardware; Pedalboard Mode, which routes the instrument through DAW plugins and back into the signal chain; and Audio Interface Mode, which functions as a standard USB audio interface with two inputs and two outputs. It includes a power supply.
