Lighter than hardwood drums, it features 45-degree bearing edges for optimal head resonance. The 9-ply maple hoops with rounded edges ensure consistent, uniform tuning across the drum. Wide-body claw hooks reduce stress on tension rods, preventing breakage and simplifying tuning.
