The Mooer 016 Phoenix is a Digital Preamp inspired by modern German-designed metal amplifiers, delivering punchy, dark lower mids, a tight low end, and high gain. The clean channel ranges from crystal clear to crispy crunch, while the gain channel covers fat rock rhythms, heavy metal riffs, and searing lead tones, making it ideal for modern high-gain styles. Part of the Mooer Micro Preamp series, it features sonically accurate digital recreations of tube amp preamp sections, developed through direct analysis of real tube amplifiers. It includes dual channels, integrated speaker cabinet simulation, and dual operating modes.
