The Rode Blimp is a Windshield and Shock Mount designed for RØDE shotgun microphones and compatible third-party shotgun microphones up to 325mm in length. It features a Rycote® Lyre® suspension system for effective handling noise isolation and includes an ultra-lightweight, ergonomic handle with an internal heavy-duty Mogami® cable that splits via a junction box to a flexible cable inside the Blimp, reducing vibration transference to the microphone. The Blimp mounts to any standard boompole via a 3/8-inch thread attachment, and the optional Universal Blimp Mount allows handle removal for boompole use. Included accessories are the Dead Wombat windshield, a caring brush, and a tail/patch cable.
