New Stuff from Namm 2017, The Yamaha A5R ARE

25th January 2017

Fresh from Namm 2017, Yamaha unveils it’s new acoustic guitar from it’s A series, the A5R ARE

This is the first hand made in Japan custom shop guitar, apart from the A6 which was a limited tun, as a production run. Needless to say the quality craftmanship in this model is quite suberb

It features a Sitka / Spruce construction aged using the Yamaha ARE wood-torrefaction technology and set up with an SRT2 pickup system

From cut-through piezo sound to warm, pure acoustic sound, which is like recorded with vintage microphones in the professional studio, SRT2 allows you to reproduce a sound that you can really use on stage. With SRT2 you can mix these two sounds to attain the exact balance you want to achieve a distinctive tone. What’s more, you can select two different mic types to choose the optimal sound for your playing style and for the song you are performing.
