Terms and Conditions for Guitar Repair Services
Welcome to Olimpus, your trusted destination for professional guitar repair services. Our commitment is to handle your instrument with the utmost care and precision, using only top-quality materials and techniques to ensure meticulous repairs. However, despite our best efforts, unforeseen issues may arise during the repair process. Weak paint spots might peel or chip, stains or scratches may become more noticeable, and electronic parts may fail. While we strive to rectify any damages, additional expenses may apply.
Certain repairs, such as headstock breaks or vintage restoration, may require full prepayment upon submission.
Warranty Coverage
Olimpus Music provides a comprehensive 45-day warranty on labor, subject to certain exceptions outlined below and in your Quotation or Work Order. Please note that maintenance items such as “tuning strings” are not covered under warranty.
To avail of warranty services, it is essential to promptly inform us of any defects or issues upon discovery. Continued use of the instrument after identifying a warranty issue will void further warranty claims. Customers who persist in using their instrument after notifying us of a warranty issue may incur additional charges for any subsequent damage.
Estimates and Changes
Upon inspection, we will provide you with a detailed estimate for parts and labor. Please be aware that this estimate may fluctuate due to factors such as hidden defects, changes in repair scope, or component substitutions. Any significant changes to the estimate will be communicated to you via email.
Turnaround Time
We endeavor to complete your repairs within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 2 to 3 weeks unless otherwise agreed. Please note that agreed-upon deadlines may occasionally need adjustment due to factors such as parts availability or changes in work orders.
Collection and Additional Work
Once your repairs are complete, we will notify you via email for collection. Please ensure that your email address is up to date at the time of submission. Any requests for alterations or additional work must be communicated to us via email.
Storage and Uncollected Items
Items not collected within 30 days of completion will accrue a daily storage charge of €5.00 thereafter. Items remaining uncollected after 60 days will be deemed abandoned and may be placed in uncontrolled storage, potentially resulting in irreversible damage to the instrument.
Warranty Exclusions
Examples of items not covered under warranty include, but are not limited to:
- Tuning of Strings: Normal wear and tear, including the need for regular tuning.
- Intonation: Adjusting intonation, a maintenance task required periodically.
- Cleaning and Polishing: Normal wear and tear due to handling and atmospheric conditions.
- Guitar Strings: Replacement of worn-out or broken strings is expected maintenance.
- Abuse, Damage, or Alterations: Any abuse, damage, or alterations void warranty coverage.
