The Yamaha MODX M8 is an 88-key Synthesizer designed for working pianists, offering exceptional sound, expressive control, streamlined workflow, and realistic Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) action in a compact, lightweight design. It features three engines—AWM2 with 128-note polyphony and 10.7GB of preset waveforms for detailed acoustic sounds, FM-X for modern synthesis suited to genres such as EDM and ’80s-style tones, and AN-X for expressive analog-style textures—providing a wide range of sonic possibilities. The instrument includes eight faders, four assignable knobs, six pedal inputs, a 7-inch color touchscreen, the Super Knob, Motion Sequences, and an Envelope Follower for intuitive real-time control and dynamic modulation. It also supports Yamaha’s Expanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP) for seamless DAW integration, enabling users to create, edit, and mix sounds anywhere.
